Add-On for

Automatically track what you’re watching on Jellyfin.

How does it work:

Works only on Jellyfin 10.8.*. When you watch a % of the video (For example set to 70%) on Jellyfin (configurable in Add-On options), Simkl Add-on will send a ping to the Simkl API that you watched the video and Simkl will mark this video as watched in your Simkl profile.

Simkl Add-On for Jellyfin can detect and mark TV Show, Anime episodes and Movies that you watch on your Jellyfin Media Player.

Even when Jellyfin could not recognize the video you’re watching, it will send the filename to Simkl as well, which has a better detection library, especially for Anime filenames so everything that you watch can be recognized and marked as watched.

How to install:

Make sure you have installed Jellyfin 10.8.x. For example, the Windows version can be downloaded from https://jellyfin.org/downloads/.
Open Jellyfin Dashboard.
Click "Plugins" on the left side of the page.
Click "Catalog" at the top of the page.
Scroll down to General and click Simkl.
Click "Install" then OK.
Stop the Jellyfin server and Start again.
Click Install, OK.
Stop the Jellyfin server and Start again.
Open the Plugins page again (My Plugins), where you will find the Simkl plugin installed. Click on it.
You must select the Jellyfin user you wish to apply the settings to.
Click Log In and copy the PIN code displayed on the page.
Open https://simkl.com/pin/ and enter the PIN code (it might be auto pre-filled if you're on the same network).
Return to Jellyfin extension page.
Make sure to enable all the checkmarks to auto scrobble shows and movies and set Scrobbling percentage to 70%.
