لما كنت اقرا حوارات انجيلوبولوس عن التحديقة الاولى مكنتش فاهمة يقصد ايه ومع المشاهدة عرفت ان احنا اتحرمنا من متعة تجربة المشاهدة الاولى، حاجة جديدة علينا لان مفيش تراكمات وخبرات قبلها ايوا اتسرقت مننا، احنا بنشوف نسخ، لو محظوظين هتكون نسخ حلوة لكن الاساس موجود من زمان واتعودنا عليه الاصل بقى راح مننا read more

Wow that was a long watch but I chose to watch it in half hour segments which I think didn't detract from the whole movie. This 5 and a half hours is definitely the best version, some slow parts but mostly I was kept fascinated by the portrayal of Frances most famous General. This in mind I thought it would of included his battles or his death but his early years were still lot of interest.Well directed by Abel Gance and Albert Dieudonnes performance in the lead role was great. The film I saw was lovingly restored by Kevin Brownlow over a 20 year period so well done to him and the BFI for read more
