Poor mans low budget Blade with some private investigator noir kind of vibes. If allowed to be a tv show with a budget this would be a really cool and fun concept to explore with the right people on board.
Brandon Routh does with he can with the material, it's funny that his Jimmy Olsen from Superman Returns is back basically functioning the same.
Dylan Dog used to be an investigator for werewolves, vampires, and zombies to make sure that nobody did anything outside of the rules set for themselves, it's silly, but like for a comic book plot, it's serviceable.
Tonally, it's kind of hit or miss. Some of the investigative stuff I was really into, but since there's no budget all the action is kind of weak. There is some decent humor, like a zombie self help group that helps carry it as well.
This is both better and worse than Cemetery Man which is very loosely based off the same comic. Even though I haven't read the comic, I'm sure it's more closely related to this vs the other movie.
In the age of low budget comic book movies, I have seen my fair share of movies way worse than this.
