part of obligatory october of horror like most wright films, i watched this completely dazzled by its confidence and style, with some shots so amazing they actually took me out of the experience with thoughts of "how do you even do that?" but i suspect that once that luster fades to dull memory, this will be little more than a footnote in contemporary horror. just after one night of sleeping on it, i'm already not as impressed as i was yesterday. read more

a supernatural thriller that's eerie and chilling. a little indulgent in its execution, but i feel edgar has earned that privilege. sucked me into the world and although the cat was out of the bag for me a little earlier than it should have perhaps been, it worked nonetheless. i'm never complimenting a girl's name again. read more

Last Night In Soho does sound intriguing at first but it got boring in the second half. The acting & the UK setting are great! The ending of the film was not excellent, just ok. The plot twist was too predictable & not surprising. Overall, Last Night In Soho is not a must-watch straight away film and is not as good as its trailers. read more

I really enjoyed this and don't really understand all of the negativity towards it. Maybe Edgar Wright has set the bar a bit high for himself with his previous work (or maybe his fans have). This is not his best film but it's still better than most films that have come out in recent years. Well shot with a killer soundtrack and a story that keeps you intrigued throughout. read more

My quick rating - 7;5/10. This movie just looks amazing so far; for technical merits. Once the movie ended; that amazing feeling didn't leave. As far as horror goes; this one is up with the best of the year for sure. Thomasin McKenzie plays Eloise; a small-town girl heading to the big city to be a fashion designer. After she is not very impressed with her dorm mates; she finds her own place and this is where her story and that of an aspiring singer played by Anya Taylor-Joy become intertwined. Seems for some reason when she sleeps; she is thrust into the singer's life through her dream world.... read more

I watched this because Anya Taylor-Joy is in it, but this really just gave me something I was not expecting. A beautiful film, with a great twist at the end, although it was kinda predictable. The acting was amazing, the visuals were great. It basically had my eyes glued to the screen from start to finish. It also had an awesome soundtrack, literally every song in this is just a banger, and they fit the scenes very well. read more

Not at all the movie I expected it to be based on the summary. Looks beautiful, great soundtrack and everyone is bringing some top tier performances. 1960s London atmosphere is brilliant and makes me want to walk around Soho at night. The shift in story halfway through the movie is brilliant. Absolutely in love with this movie, and think I'm going to watch this a lot more in the future. read more
