A live-action adaptation of the 1963 book of the same name from author Maurice Sendak in which a lonely boy called Max wanders into a woodland inhabited by all manner of monstrous creatures after a huge row with his mother. Dressed in a wolf costume, Max is apprehensively welcomed into the fold, proclaiming himself to be their new king with powers that he is not afraid to use if needed. Whilst most of the Wild Things are friendly, there is a developing rift between Max and Carol who is unconvinced as to his stature, and before long the once peaceful creatures are at loggerheads.
