just as bad as i remember. horrible opening 30 minutes that have nothing to do with the plot. mediocre middle that is stretched out. then a pretty accurate final 20 minutes to the comic. this was one of the most highly anticipated animated dc movies ever and they fell on their face hard. read more

i don't feel qualified to review this. i thought it was alright. but then again, i haven't read the comic. so maybe i'm just plainly wrong? i knew this was controversial going in, not just because of the violent content but because of how the creators added to the story as it was and changed some things in the process. i dunno. i feel like it's kinda just "whatever" at this point. one and a half stars does not feel like an objective rating because people measure it against the heights of the source material. that's not really fair. i felt it was a bit undercooked actually, but not one of the... read more

as others said, the first 30 minutes are... ugh. it's just weird. however, the actual killing joke part of the movie is really good, especially mark hamill's voice performance. read more
