having never read the comic, i was both relieved and disappointed that i guessed the major reveal from the outset. putting that aside, gotham by gaslight isn't the best or worst thing from dc's animated oeuvre. it's passable entertainment that's extra appealing to anyone who picks up on the winks and nods at fans, and whoever appreciates well choreographed animated fights. if there was ever an animated dc movie to go all out on with the atmosphere and animation style, this would've been it. whatever uniqueness gaslight has, its all due to the comic its being adapted from. the movie never goes... read more
